EBONY/Curated will open an exhibition of new paintings by Andrew Barlow titled ‘Illuminate’ in their Franschhoek Square Gallery on Saturday 20th May at 12pm. Barlow’s ‘Illuminate’ focuses on the use of light in relation to the animal and human form.
EBONY/Curated is excited to announce the opening of their new space at Bordeaux House in Franschhoek to compliment their two existing galleries (one in Franschhoek Square and one in Cape Town’s bustling CBD). This new space will focus on exhibiting a diverse range of fine artists from the entire continent.
Ebony’s Curator and co-founder Marc Stanes says;
“Opening a new gallery in Franschhoek makes perfect sense for us. With over 800sqm of combined gallery space we are able to fully engage with our collectors and allow our artists an even bigger platform to experiment and not be limited. Our original Franschhoek Square gallery will continue to show great pieces of design alongside works of art and will remain the much loved personal vision of the 3 owners”
For the opening exhibition at Bordeaux House, look out for works by Erik Laubscher, Cecil Skotnes, Peter Clarke, Norman Catherine, Wole Lagunju, and this year’s Venice Biennale participating artists Mohau Modisakeng, Victor Ehikamenor and many more.
