Going for Gold…Twice

It has most certainly been a fruitful year for Babylonstoren. Adding to their already long list of accolades for 2016, they’ve recently been selected as one of the 20 best hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveller UK Gold List. On top of this amazing achievement they have also been listed on the Condé Nast Traveler US Gold List. These annual, much-anticipated lists feature travel writers’ all-time favourite hotels, restaurants, cocktail bars and beach clubs.

This reaffirms the Cape Winelands’ beauty, and of unique farm experiences tourists get to experience at Babylonstoren. Harvesting seasonal fruit and vegetables from the garden, collecting eggs from the chicken coop, canoeing on the farm dam, feeding the donkeys and taking a walk through the indigenous fynbos up Babylonstoren koppie – these are simple pleasures that make guests feel grounded and refreshed.

Sharing the stage with Babylonstoren and representing South Africa are Ellerman House and Singita, who were both included in the UK Gold List. Beyond Phinda Vlei Lodge, The Belmond Mount Nelson and The One & Only Cape Town joined them on the US Gold List.
