Fancy something a bit different for a Sunday? Bored of making that roast and doing those dishes? Yes? So come and chill out with a gorgeous picnic and listen to some of the best muso’s in South Africa get their groove on at Boschendal.
We’re proud to support local talent, and we have carefully selected a diverse range of different acts, from Gypsy Jazz, Afro-Electro and home-grown Rock to covers of international hits. We’ve created a line-up that gives you the best of local flavour while catering to a varied audience, and rest assured, each and every one of these acts is brilliantly enjoyable.
Boschendal is a family farm, so bring the kids and let them play on the Werf lawns while you laze in the sun with a chilled glass of vino and soak in some local sounds. There are hammocks and bean bags, large shady oak trees and blankets. There’s a scenic pavillion and all around you are the majestic and magnificent Drakenstein mountains. It’s a great place to laze away a Sunday.
The only thing needed, now that the scene is set, is some lovely food. Your picnic basket will be filled with wholesome, artisinal treats from our farm produce. We offer the most scrumptious salads, picked fresh that morning in our very own Werf Food Garden, freshly baked baguettes, wonderful local cheese, homemade preserves, incredible free range chicken (thanks Farmer Rico), yummy desserts and to wash it all down, our selection of amazing wines.
