Father’s Day Concert with award-winning cellist Carol Thorns and CODA Africa’s lead singer Zami Mdingi
Well known to local audiences, award-winning cellist Carol Thorns joins forces with CODA Africa’s lead singer Zami Mdingi for an exceptional concert – Classical cello music with an African twist.
Carol Thorns holds a Cum Laude Bachelor of Music Degree and a South African Music Award nomination for Best Instrumental Album for her solo cello album, Fireflies in The Rain. Her world-wide performances include opening for Vanessa Mae, performing for J Lo and sharing a stage with John Legend.
Zami Mdingi reached the top 100 in Idols and was singed to EMI at a young age. With CODA Africa she has travelled internationally and was nominated for 2 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) for ‘Most Promising Artiste in Africa’, and ‘Best African-Electro Act’ alongside Goldfish and Mi Casa.
