Visitors staying over at The Owner’s Cottage or La Provençale Villa in the Vineyards for the long weekend from Friday, 25 March to Monday, 28 March will be treated to a complimentary Easter Inspired Taste of Grande Provence experience, as well as an optional Chocolate Experience, presented by a Belgian trained chocolatier at the famous Franschhoek Huguenot Fine Chocolate shop.

The Gourmet package offers top notch cuisine, tailor-made for the gourmand, and includes two nights’ accommodation for two at The Owner’s Cottage, memorable Chef’s Table dinners at The Restaurant at Grande Provence, scrumptious breakfasts and a gourmet picnic amidst majestic oaks.

The Wine Lovers package offers two nights’ accommodation for two, dinners at The Restaurant and breakfast, also including a blending session in the cellar with Grande Provence’s accomplished winemaker, Karl Lambour. Guests will be treated to a guided tour of the vineyards and cellar at Grande Provence as well as tickets for the famous Franschhoek Wine Tram for a hop-on/hop-off self-tour through Franschhoek.

The Family package, which includes two nights’ accommodation for a family of four at La Provençale, is just the answer for an Easter weekend getaway. With a French-style picnic lunch, a cellar tour and a ‘Taste of Grande Provence’ food and wine pairing experience for parents with juice and treats for the children, the whole family is catered for.

Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst has added an Easter inspired offering to the regular a la carte menu at The Restaurant for the long weekend with a tapas board of mini hot cross buns, truffled asparagus and gruyere tartlets, barrel smoked Franschhoek trout butter and bourbon glazed pulled pork pate. Coffees and teas will be served with an artisanal mini Easter egg.

Chocolate enthusiasts visiting the Tasting Room can enjoy a decadent chocolate Easter eggs and wine tasting, and there will be a chocolate surprise or two for children visiting with their parents.

On Family Day (Monday, 28 March), the popular Grande Provence picnics will be on offer with child friendly options available.

Chocolate and wine gift sets, as well as a special discount on purchases of six bottles or more of Angels Tears wines, will be on offer for the entire long weekend.
