September 2019 – This summer Mont Rochelle’s Miko restaurant will be bringing back a series of live music evenings and firing up the barbecue for its famous braai at lunchtimes.
As one of South Africa’s most acclaimed artists in Cape Town and the winelands, vocalist and guitarist Newton Theron is the lead singer of the band Newton & Co (http://newtonandco.co.za) and is a regular fixture at various venues in the area. This summer will be the first time that Newton brings his signature melodies to Mont Rochelle with solo acoustic sessions – a perfect accompaniment to Miko’s intimate dining experience.
Miko will be inviting music-lovers to enjoy Newton’s acoustic performances served alongside gourmet dishes and home-grown wines on selected dates. Performances will take place between 7pm – 9pm on the following evenings:
• Thursday 3rd October 2019
• Thursday 7th November 2019
• Thursday 5th December 2019
• Thursday 2nd January 2020
Nothing says summer vibes like the sound of a sizzling barbecue and with Miko turning up the heat again for a quintessential South African braai feast, guests are in for a treat.
The restaurant will be firing up the coals every Friday lunchtime throughout the summer from 12pm and guests can choose from a selection of succulent meats and tasty vegetables from the grills, accompanied by flavoursome salads and followed by delicious desserts. The braai is priced at R320 per person or R375 per person including half a bottle of Mont Rochelle Little Rock Rouge or Blanc Wine.
