Race to the Sea is a 100-mile (162km) mountain- and gravel bike journey from Franschhoek to Hermanus.

Starting in Franschhoek, the route takes you over the Franschhoek pass, past the Theewaterskloof dam, Botriver, Caledon, through the Hemel en Aarde Vallei to finish at the exclusive Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate. 100 scenic miles of gravel, asphalt and single track, with a total elevation gain of 2300 m – this promises to be one of those truly unique events not to be missed!

Entry is risk-free. Should the event be cancelled by the Organiser due to COVID-19, full refunds will be given.
