The ‘Lady of the Monument’ signifies integrity, humility, freedom, strength, diversity and dignity. If you are lucky enough she will reveal herself to you as you capture her in the morning light with clouds bubbling over the mountain range above her. Go and visit her at the top of Franschhoek main road.

2. The Franschhoek Wine Tram

Take a ride on our one-of-a-kind wine tram and capture the movement of the vines passing by. Feel the wind blowing through your hair and take in the beautiful surroundings around you. Book your wine tram trip on www.winetram.co.za

3. Soak in a Franschhoek sunset

Catch the last rays of sun from the Franschhoek pass and enjoy the beautiful view over our town. Make it even more special by visiting Haute Cabriere at the foot of the pass and end off your day with glass of ice cold MCC. If you are lucky enough you will get to see Takuan in action as he demonstrates to you the art of sabrage.

4. The Franschhoek Motor Museum

Franschhoek Motor Museum

You don’t have to be a petrol head to appreciate the Franschhoek Motor Museum. There is nothing quite as beautiful and artistic as a classic vintage car. Looking back at over 100 years of South African motor history there are many opportunities for capturing gorgeous Instagram photos that will make your heart, and those of your followers, race!

5. Spend a moment with the Wine Bearer at La Motte

La Motte

The 4m high, 560 kg heavy Wine bearer sculpture welcomes you to La Motte. This elegant woman, symbolic of La Motte’s ethos of sharing its blessings with visitors, is a popular topic of discussion and object for photography. Etched against the beautiful landscape of vineyards and mountains she stands proud and humble with her cup running over. Take a moment to reflect and capture the moment.
