Franschhoek Wine Valley

Franschhoek is #OpenForWinter

The changing of the seasons brings with it a myriad of comforts, but the best news is that Franschhoek is #OpenForWinter and guaranteed to keep the cold at bay. Franschhoek is the picture of absolute perfection during this time and the scenery that awaits your visit is guaranteed to take your breath away.

View from Mont Rochelle

Come out from the cold and discover what Franschhoek has to offer. Cozy warm fireplaces, robust red wines, soul comforting food, memorable experiences and so much more. A day or weekend trip to Franschhoek is the perfect excuse to browse the numerous art galleries in and around the valley. If art isn’t for you then be sure to pop into one of the artisanal chocolate shops, craft beer microbrewery, boutique clothing and décor shops or French imported cheese shop, all dotted along the Main Road and within comfortable walking distance of each other. Should you happen to find yourself in the village over a weekend, the Franschhoek Village Market is the local hangout and the place to be on a Saturday morning.

Hey Joe Microbrewery

Catering to most experiences what better excuse to breakaway for the weekend to a luxury guesthouse or boutique hotel. Snuggle up to their cozy fireplaces while enjoying a good book and sipping on local wines. Franschhoek’s Mystery Weekends, which take place during this time into September, are a must on any bucket list.
