On Sunday the 7th of February 2015, the sun was out and shining beautifully for the Franschhoek Summer Wines festival. Hosted at Leopard's Leap Family Vineyards, the festival was a celebration of the valley's top summer reds, whites, rosés and MCCs. It was an all-white fashion affair and guests looked elegant under the white umbrellas with the majestic mountains as a backdrop.
Now in its 4th year this intimate and relaxing festival has become a social calendar highlight with this year’s event drawing a record crowd. Guests had the opportunity to mingle with the Franschhoek Vignerons whilst sipping on superb wines. Chef Pieter de Jager worked his culinary magic to ensure guests were treated to a range of delicious summer inspired food, which included gourmet boerie rolls, salads and mouth watering desserts.
The weather played its part and allowed for the ultimate Franschhoek festival experience.
