Franschhoek Uncorked launches new festival app

Not only will visitors to Franschhoek get to sample new releases at this weekend’s Franschhoek Uncorked Festival (14 and 15 September), but in what is believed to be a first for the industry, they will get the chance to make use of the festival’s recently launched app, which supports Franschhoek’s efforts in helping to minimize the impact of festival environments. Regarded as one of the industry leaders the Franschhoek Wine Valley tourism team felt the time was right to do away with paper and embrace the digital age.

Available via the Google Play Store as well as the Apple Store, the app offers a user friendly programme with details on the participating wineries and craft breweries at this year’s festival. Simply search for ‘Flock Events’ on the relevant app store, register and click on Franschhoek Uncorked to access the festival programme and more.
The Franschhoek Uncorked Festival offers visitors the opportunity to travel from farm to farm whilst uncovering a fine selection of wine gems from the Franschhoek Vignerons. The craft breweries participating in this year’s festival, another first, are guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.

With 19  Franschhoek producers participating in this fun two-day festival, there promises to be something for everyone.
Pre-booked Uncorked Weekend Passes cost R180 per person, and are available via Webtickets. Tickets purchased on the day, at the participating wine farms, will cost R200 each. Your Uncorked Weekend Pass (valid for both days) allows you access to all of the participating wine farms as well as a complimentary tasting glass and free wine tastings.
