The name of this new restaurant was inspired by the artistic creativity of Jacob Hendrik Pierneef (1886 – 1957). Pierneef’s creativity in portraying the beauty of the South African landscape and architecture is depicted by this restaurant’s creativity in offering traditional cuisine inspired by centuries of creativity in cooking – referred to as Cape Winelands Cuisine. Unique food styles and a variety of flavours are served seamlessly together to create a fresh experience. A delightful treat is Food-and-Wine Pairing, which brings out the best in the tastes of both the foods and the La Motte wines.
The restaurant interior – Cape Dutch, with a contemporary touch – blends beautifully with the external surroundings – a fresh, natural look inside is embraced by tranquil gardens and majestic oak trees.
