Not only will visitors to Franschhoek get to sample new releases at this weekend’s FranschhoekUncorked Festival (14 and 15 September), but in what is believed to be a first for the industry, they will get the chance to make use of the festival’s recently launched app, which supports Franschhoek’s efforts in helping to minimize the impact of festival environments. The Franschhoek Uncorked Festival offers visitors the opportunity to travel from farm to farm whilst uncovering a fine selection of wine gems from the Franschhoek Vignerons. The craft breweries participating in this year’s festival, another first, are guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.
With 19 Franschhoek producers participating in this fun two-day festival, there promises to be something for everyone.

The Franschhoek Wine Valley has been blessed with an abundance of much needed rain this past season. Not only is the Berg River dam full, but the valley is looking absolutely spectacular. The trees are in full bloom as their blossoms symbolise the first signs of Spring and the vineyards are looking healthy and green, as they embrace the warmer weather.
