The countdown to the festive season has begun, and this year we have even more reason for merrymaking. The new addition to the Babylonstoren hotel – the Fynbos Cottages – has just been completed and is now open for bookings.

    THE COTTAGES

At the Fynbos Cottages guests can fully emerge themselves in the beauty of the natural plant habitat of the Western Cape’s mountains. The four two-bedroom cottages and two one-bedroom cottages are newly built in the Cape Dutch style and adjoin vineyards and orchards – ideal for our more adventurous guests.

    THE LOCATION

With spectacular views over the expanding landscape and farm dam, this peaceful location is ideal for those looking to retreat to a more private spot. Nature lovers and birdwatchers would approve – we have spotted 78 bird species on the farm and guests may even be lucky enough to see or hear the fish eagle.

    ACTIVITIES

The Pool Room is a lounge and bar area for the exclusive use of our Fynbos guests. They can take a plunge in the crystal-clear swimming pool or simply relax while overlooking the natural pools, cleaned naturally by indigenous, oxygenating plants. Guests are free to help themselves to coffee, tea brewed from freshly picked herbs, a glass of their favourite Babylonstoren wine or other handpicked drinks.

Bookings for 1 January 2019 onwards are now open.
