At the foot of the spectacular Simonsberg mountain in the Franschhoek Valley lies the historic French Huguenot farm Fredericksburg established in 1690 and now home to Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons. A prestigious partnership in wine production formed in 1997 between the Rupert family from South Africa and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild from France. Rupert & Rothschild produce three distinct wines; a single varietal Chardonnay; Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine; a flagship Bordeaux blend; Rupert & Rothschild Baron Edmond and a classic red blend; Rupert & Rothschild Classique, one of South Africa’s most sought after red blends.
