Solo travelling in Franschhoek – an article by Lorinda’s World

Already a global phenomenon, solo travelling, and in particular female solo travelling, is becoming a growing trend in South Africa. The beautiful Franschhoek Wine Valley is the perfect destination for solo travellers. By travelling solo, travellers are guaranteed to uncover a myriad of gems, ranging from world-class wines, five-star cuisine and luxurious accommodation in Franschhoek.

Lorinda recently visited Franschhoek and has published this lovely article about her experiences in Franschhoek.

Ernest Hemmingway once said that “Never go on trips with anyone you do not love.” I tend to carry this advice even further. If possible, never go on a trip with anyone at all. It’s easier to get absorbed in an unfamiliar landscape when solo, reliant on no one and vice versa. I have shared a few articles before on here why I love solo travelling, however, in 2018, I did not do much solo travelling, as I chose to spend more time with family and friends. However, I decided to start off 2019 by embarking on a solo trip to one of South Africa’s most romantic destinations, Franschhoek. In this blog post, I share more about my solo travelling experience in Franschhoek.
