Franschhoek Drives Winter Demand with Midweek Staycation 2026
As winter settles over the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek Wine Valley (FWV) reinforces its commitment to local tourism with the launch of its Midweek Staycation 2026 – an initiative designed to stimulate off-peak travel while delivering exceptional value for South African residents.
Running from 1 June to 15 September 2026, the campaign invites visitors to experience the quieter pleasures of winter in the valley – where fireside moments, fine wines and a celebrated culinary culture set the tone for a slower, more rewarding escape.
Participating properties include Wildeberg, La Ferme, Neighbourgood Franschhoek, Ashbourne House Guesthouse, Chapter House Boutique Hotel, Plumwood Boutique Hotel, Stony Brook Cottages, Kilima Franschhoek, La Petite Ferme, Rickety Bridge Wine Estate and Cape Vue Country House.
Each package is structured around a “Stay 3, Pay 2” offer for two guests sharing and includes accommodation, dinner, wine tasting for two and a R500 FWV voucher redeemable at participating businesses – delivering a seamless, considered stay with dining and wine experiences integrated through each accommodation partner.
