Restaurant at La Cotte

La Cotte Farm is uniquely situated a stone’s throw from the charming village of Franschhoek. It offers close proximity to the fun and bustle of the main street with all the quiet, privacy and rural charm of a working wine farm. The Malaysian influence in the murals and wallpaper suggests a time when Far East trade routes influenced the Cape Dutch cuisine. Franschhoek Salmon Trout with ginger and garlic glaze as well as heartier fare such as Pork Belly with crackling with sauerkraut and apple mustard.

Our signature garden salad is harvested from our gardens and consists of what our chef has picked that same day!  Organically sourced Nguni Beef is an important ingredient to our traditional Bobotie or succulent Nguni burger. Relaxed fare that is combined with traditional elements make up memorable meals with friends and family. 

The ethically grown vegetables that accompany our dishes are all grown to supply our needs as well as that of the local community. This project entails assistance from a charity organisation that harvests and delivers to soup kitchens and communities in need. The free-range chickens enjoy a much-pampered lifestyle and in return spoil us with a bounty of golden yoked eggs!
