EBONY/CURATED opened in Franschhoek in 2007 and today has two spaces in the village and another gallery in Cape Town. EBONY/CURATED collaborates with some of the finest creators in Africa to create dynamic and engaging spaces.

At EBONY/CURATED Franschhoek Square exclusive design stands alongside classic and contemporary fine art providing a uniquely South African experience.

Sourcing both classic and contemporary South African and African works by some of the most recognised and collectable artists, our fine art collection exhibits important artists from across the continent alongside recognised modern masters.

our design portfolio features a wide range of work by leading South African designers as well as showcasing our own collection of beautifully crafted, bespoke furniture which combines a contemporary design aesthetic with a twist of local flavour. In 2021 the Franschhoek Square space was enlarged to incorporate a unique Ardmore gallery showcasing their unique ceramics and design collection- the first in the Winelands.

Bordeaux House Gallery

EBONY/CURATED, Bordeaux House opened in 2016 with a retrospective of one of the South Africa’s most important Masters, Erik Laubscher. With strong links to EBONY/CURATED in Cape Town and Franschhoek Square this beautiful, large scale gallery is an important destination for any art enthusiast and collector.

EBONY/CURATED, Bordeaux House has built a strong reputation for unlocking and exhibiting exciting talent from  South Africa and the greater African diaspora. This leading gallery space has a well established public program highlighting both contemporary and notable modern artists.

EBONY/CURATED regularly participates in local and international art fairs and gallery artists are included in recognised public and private collections.
