Horse Riding

Riding lessons: Both adults and children are welcome to book a riding lesson individually or within a small group. We cater for beginners up to experienced riders and provide a safe environment to enjoy the picturesque surroundings of Val de Vie Estate, on the back of a horse. Outrides are available for individuals or small groups, exploring the riding trails in and around the estate, traversing past vineyards, wide open spaces, and the Berg River. Booking is essential for all rides. Children aged 7 years and older are allowed on the outrides, and our weight limit per person is 85kg.

Polo lessons: Polo lessons are structured to the level of the student(s), from introductory lessons for the novice to intensive sessions focusing on specific aspects such as improving your polo swing, riding for polo or schooling the polo pony.

Instructional chukkas
Instructional chukkas are the ideal opportunity to improve your playing skills and even try an introduction to umpiring. Our weekly chukkas are also a great time to meet and play with local players.
