    The historic wine cellar produced its first wine in 1825 and this same cellar, modernised and filled with new French oak barrels, builds on its early 19th century winemaking tradition, producing the most comprehensive selection of Rhône varietal wines available in South Africa. A dedicated team in the vineyard, cellar and tasting room ensure the hallmark of excellence from world class viticulture and oenological practices to professional, friendly service in the elegantly appointed tasting room.

    Val de Vie offers world class polo and equestrian facilities, where both novices and experienced players have the opportunity to experience the game at a level best suited to them. Residents and guests can also relax at the Sabrage Lounge Bar and Restaurant to watch a live polo match while sampling the estate’s award-winning wines.
